Las empleadas-domésticas por horaAMENTO immobilized will receive 1.6% increase in November

The workers who provide services in houses for hourly pay will receive in November 2026 a 1,6% increase over the values of October, according to the Resolution 6/2026 of the Comisión Nacional de Trabajo en Casas Particulares (CNTCP), published in the Boletín Oficial in September. The resolution also incorporates into the base salary the 25% of an additional amount that had been paid separately in August, thus modifying the composition of the remuneration for this group of workers.

November values for four hours of weekly work

For a service of four hours per week, the hourly amount to be collected in November ranges between $16,682,08 and $21,356,32, according to the category and whether the worker is employed with or without meals at the home. The difference between the floor and the ceiling reflects the scale of functions: the care of elderly people is not the same as general cleaning. These figures correspond to the values set for the month, without including the additional benefits that may apply according to each situation, nor the employer contributions for retirement, ART and other concepts established by the applicable regulations.

Let's go to the numbers: the adjustment for November represents a 1,6% increase over the October values, in a move that is part of the updating sequence established during 2026. The last increase of the year will arrive in December, also with 1,6%, according to the same resolution that set the amounts for the preceding months. In this way, the year closes with two consecutive adjustments of the same percentage for hourly domestic workers, while monthly workers receive the corresponding monthly scale.

The law regulating domestic work establishes that hourly pay applies when the worker does not exceed 24 hours per week for the same employer. Above that threshold, the employment relationship becomes monthly. Another particularity of the sector is the timing of payment: unlike workers in a traditional dependent employment relationship, those who work by the hour receive their remuneration at the end of each shift or each week, as agreed. This means that in November the payment corresponds to the work done in November, and not to the previous month.

The ARCA tool for receipts

The ARCA collection agency put into operation the Recibo Asistido, a tool available on its website for employers with registered workers. The system automatically calculates all receipt items from the data entered by the employer and the current bases. Once generated, the receipt must be printed in two copies when payment is made in cash: one for the worker and another, signed, as proof for the employer. This mechanism simplifies the calculation of the items and the issuing of the supporting documentation for this employment modality.

  • Hourly workers will receive a 1,6% increase over October values in November 2026.
  • For four hours per week, the range is from $16,682,08 to $21,356,32, depending on the category and the type of employment.
  • Hourly pay applies when the worker does not exceed 24 hours per week for the same employer.
  • Remuneration is collected at the end of each shift or each week, according to the agreement.
  • The Recibo Asistido of ARCA automatically calculates the receipt items and requires two printed copies in cash payments.
  • In December there will be a new increase of 1,6%, which closes the annual updates.

The attention for the next data lies in the December adjustment, which will apply the same 1,6% percentage to the values established for November and close the yearly updates for this category. It will also be necessary to verify that the contracts and receipts reflect the new amounts, including the additional items that correspond to each working situation and the employer's contributions. The update of the scale and the use of the Receipt Assisted tool constitute the two central points for those who employ domestic workers under the hourly modality.
